Event planning is a great profession for my persona type. My personal strengths may help me take care of the many responsibilities event organizers take on. Planners in the industry should have excellent conversation skills, and be well organized. It's important that organizers enjoy dealing with people and have the ability to multi-task. Event organizers main task is to control an event coming from start to finish. Including everything from searching and reserving locations, and entertainment, to budgets and organizing vehicles for friends. On top of planning the entire function, they are responsible for making sure the big event runs easily, handling any crises that comes up the day of the function.
Event organizing gives individuals the opportunity to make use of my character type of ENTP. People with ENTP are warmly enthusiastic and imaginative. They have the ability to improvise when necessary, and tend to become very versatile. They need affirmation from other folks and readily give gratitude and support (Myers, 1998). My type allows me to enjoy new problems by directing my enthusiasm and creative imagination into planning an event. My personal motivation to plan a conference that the consumer will be more than happy with will be driven by my dependence on affirmation by others. It is necessary for a celebration planner being flexible mainly because plans are constantly changing, unexpected things go wrong more often than not, and clientele needs and wants will end up different through the entire planning procedure. On the day of an event issues won't always go the way you planned, consequently , the ability to improvise is crucial.
